JESSICA Alba may be renowned for her drop-dead gorgeous looks (that some say made her famous) but the actress has claimed that she is willing to undergo a massive makeover for a mark in more hard line films.
It seems that for the sexy ‘Sin City’ star gaining weight and shaving her head are all fair game, if it means getting a hard-hitting role in a serious film.
“If it’s for a challenging or inspiring role, I’d do it.” The star told press.
Alba has revealed in numerous interviews that being tagged as one of the world’s sexiest women isn’t all its cracked up to be.
Jessica landed FHM’s Sexiest Woman in the World title this year and placed number 2 in Maxim’s poll behind Lindsay Lohan but she told the Associated Press recently that she tries not to let such polls go to her head.
“I don’t really think about it too much.”
“I’m like everybody else. I get insecure about things just like everybody else. I wake up in the morning and think, “What the hell am I going to do with my face today or my hair? What am I going to wear?””
“People make me feel like … I’m not a person or superhuman or something because you’re on a list that’s being put together. But I understand that those magazines and those lists only exist just to give publicity for the magazine and publicity for the project that I’m in, and it’s not necessarily completely and totally true.”
Hopefully the star doesn’t need to ambush her external too much. Hopefully she lands the role she’s looking for and gets accepted for the actress she is – not for her body; or her face; but her talent.

BARBADOS-born pop/r’n’b singing sensation Rihanna has pur her umbrella over the most unlikely target – Britney Spears.
So most of us have seen Britney’s 2007 MTV VMA performance – whether it be watching the actual show, on the news or on some comedy show mocking the troubled star. And I can pretty much guarantee that we have all heard some part of the media laughing and criticising Spears over this performance. But Rihanna has put her hand up and said enough is enough; - urging the media to stop their criticism.The 19-year-old has spoken out stating that she believes Spears’ ruinous stage show at the Las Vegas ceremony, held in early September, was the result of her not having performed much recently, as well as dealing with the deep stress of her ongoing child custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Rihanna says: “You can’t judge her performance without knowing what was going on with her personally. She had so much pressure for that one performance.”
“I’m telling you, it’s not easy being on that stage. I performed for a minute and a half, and I was extremely nervous.
“To have the amount of pressure that Britney had? I don’t know what I would’ve done. She did her best, so leave her alone.”

Super hot, super-hero portraying superstar Jessica Alba is rumoured to be becoming a SUPERMOM! – and I don’t mean in a movie.
Alba and her director boyfriend Cash Warren have recently been spotted shopping for baby shoes in Malibu.
The pair had a brief break-up back in July but are back together now and apparently preparing to start a little family.
The ‘Fantastic Four’ actress apparently called time on their 2-and-a-half year romance during an emotional telephone conversation back in July; supposedly dumping Cash after being sick of waiting for him to propose.
But all seems good now for the pair.
A source noted: “They seemed really happy to be back together as they shopped. Jessica was picking out shirts for Cash and holding them up against him.”
It was this visit to a Malibu department store that quickly ignited baby rumours after they were spotted browsing in the children’s department.
“Then they started sneaking a peek at a pair of very fashionable looking baby shoes.”
Alba is also continuing her modest ways, being forced to try and disprove the validity of all the high praise she gets for her looks.

Socialite Paris Hilton has been the centre of all things news this last few days, sporting her post-jail fresh body and soul, and now she is set to pass down some business tips to budding entrepreneurs. Who would have thought?
‘The Learning Annex’ - a New York-based adult educational school –has offered the 26-year old a super sum of $1 million for the educational service.
Hilton has set up several business ventures of her own during her still-young life, under the names Paris Hilton Enterprises, Paris Hilton Entertainment, and Heiress Records; proving to many that she is more than just a party-girl but is a brilliant business woman.
The hotel heiress was released from behind bars just 5 days ago, after serving 23 days in a Californian jail.
Contactmusic.com quoted the institute’s president Bill Zanker as saying: “We just sent over the offer to her and I think there’s a good chance she’d do it. She’s a brilliant entrepreneur. I believe she can offer her knowledge and give back to other entrepreneurs. She’s obviously brilliant, and my students would love her.’”
“She’s a businessman who has made this persona. We have a lot of people in small business, and where they need the most help is getting branded. Who is better at branding than Paris Hilton?”
Some deals already put to Hilton’s name include designing a collection of purses for Japanese fashion label Samantha Thavasa and releasing her own-branded perfume with Parlux Fragrances for both men and women.

In just under 3 months Jessica Alba will have us all saying, ‘Good Luck Chuck’.
Good Luck Chuck’ is rom-com (romantic comedy) that zones in on the life of unlucky-in-love, Chuck, (Dane Cook) who breaks up with his longtime lady, and is then shocked when he hears the news that she is engaged to her new boyfriend. He finds himself repeating this pattern, and is hopeful that single women will seek him out as a date, so they too will soon find Mr. Right. He then meets Cam Wexler (Jessica Alba), a lovable, but clumsy penguin trainer, who changes his outlook on love.
So we’ve got the lovely Jessica Alba and Mr. Dane Cook, but who else has lent their talents to this film? Well, the cast also includes Annie Wood, Chelan Simmons [Final Destination 3], Dan Fogler and Jodelle Ferland. (NOTE: Both Simmons and Ferland have starred in hit T.V show ‘Supernatural].

Good Luck, Chuck’ is set for cinema release on the 24th of August.

Everyone’s favourite shagadelic spy, Austin Powers, is set to be bringing his groovy ways back for a fourth time.
Austin Powers’s multi-star Mike Myers, who is currently promoting his newest release movie ‘Shrek: the third’, recently revealed to ‘Movie hole’ that he is “eyeing an Austin Powers 4”.
The installment is said to already have a “fully conceived idea” behind it and will this time focus more on Dr. Evil than the ‘International Man of Mystery’ himself, Austin Powers – taking a fresh twist from the previous three instalments. (Though when you think about it they’re the same actor anyway so it’s sure to be hilarious’).
Myers, 43, says: “There is a fully conceived idea for a fourth and I can just say that it’s from Dr Evil’s point of view, so if you balanced how much of it was Austin with Dr Evil, it’s more Dr Evil than Austin.”
The rest of the cast is not yet ‘officially’ known but one can only assume that it’ll feature such previous stars as ‘Buffy’ star Seth Green (who plays Dr. Evil’s son, Scott), Mindy Sterling (who plays Frau, Dr. Evil’s love interest in the previous 3) and a lovely lady (as we could conclude from the previous roles of Elizabeth Hurley, Beyonce and Heather Graham).
Who will be Austin’s bag, baby? Perhaps some of the Shrek cast will lend Austin their talents. It has been almost 5 whole years since the release of ‘Austin Powers in Gold member’, which featured such Hollywood stars and starlets as Micheal Caine, Beyonce Knowles and Micheal York. And a whole 10 years since first shouted those two famous words, “Yeah Baby!”

Admirable and ethical actress Jessica Alba has revealed that the reason behind her return for the sequel of the comic film ‘Fantastic Four’ was because of her skin-tight outfit in the film.
Alba, 25, recently reported that she was left with no choice but to do the sequel, as she is the only actress who can fit into her character, Sue’s, skin-tight outfit.
“I have a booty and big hips so the suit is made to allow for that. It’s like a second skin and looks like it too!” Alba revealed to ‘The Sun’.
Jessica plays Susan Storm in the action/adventure films; a character who has the power to turn invisible.
The plot of ‘Fantastic Four (2): Rise of the Silver Surfer’ was described on IMDB: ‘After the death of Dr. Doom the Fantastic Four fell life is back to normal for the team. And Reed Richards and Sue Storm Get married. Little do they know that a new enemy the Silver Surfer takes charge to destroy the earth and it’s up to the fantastic four to stop him. As they also deal with the return of Dr. Doom.’
Excited? Don’t worry you won’t have to wait very long now. The sequel is set for release in June.

Ex-Spice Girl Melanie Brown has entitled her baby daughter with ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy’s surname.
The Scary Spice gave birth to daughter Angel Iris Murphy Brown on April 3 in Santa Monica, California.
There has been much speculation about who is in fact the father. Brown adamantly states that ‘Daddy Day Care’ star Eddie Murphy is in fact the father, though he begs to differ.
Brown, 31, listed Murphy’s name on the birth certificate.
Brown has also said in a recent statement that the baby’s name was inspired by not one, but a series of things.
She says: “Angel, as she was my little angel through my pregnancy. Iris, as it’s my grandma’s name, Murphy because he’s the dad, and Brown, because I’m the Mum!”
Brown, known as Scary Spice when she was in the popular 1990s group, has an eight-year-old daughter, Phoenix Chi.
Murphy, 46, has screen credits in many hit films, ranging from classics like ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ to more recent blockbusters like ‘Dreamgirls’.
He is also father to five children, whom are from his marriage to Nicole Mitchell Murphy.

X-men star and family guy Hugh Jackman seemed to contradict the weather on Sunday– managing to wear a smile despite the gloomy weather of the day in Darlinghurst, Australia.
Jackman and his lovely wife Deborra-Lee Furness also picked up a new addition to their divinely delightful family - a pet cockatiel! (Morgan would say “Chirp.. Chirp” Seagull scream” 
haha)
The country-style pair – going ‘Britney style’ with their cowboy hats – were sighted heading off down the freeway with son Oscar, 6, and daughter Ava, 21 months to purchase some fresh mangoes from a fruit stand.
Jackman, 38, was spotted earlier on the weekend helping trucking billionaire Lindsay Fox celebrate his 70th birthday. The celebration was held at Fox’s Elizabeth Bay mansion. Hugh entertained the guests by performing several numbers from his hit Broadway stage show ‘The Boy From Oz’.
‘The Prestige’ star arrived in Sydney late last month with his family to film Baz Luhrman production ‘Australia’, but things seem more like a vacation. Well as a fellow Australian I can say “We’re happy to have you here Mr. Jackman.” J
