RECENT reports have put ‘Smallville’ hero Tom Wellling in the spotlight of a new ‘Teen Wolf’ film.
If these rumours are true it looks like Welling will follow the well-travelled footsteps of Michael J. Fox and Jason Bateman.
In this updated version of the clique story, a teenage girl who finds herself bearing the mark of the beast. Since obviously Tom’s teenage days are long over now, we can only figure that his role will be rather tangential; perhaps a charming werewolf hunter? Hmm.. Perhaps. Perhaps.
Welling will reportedly be using his hiatus time off from filming Smallville to film the howling remake in Little Canada this coming season.
Dark Horizon has reported that location scouts have been sighted lurking around high schools in Little Canada and that they’re looking for somewhere to shoot a Teen Wolf remake. But who knows…? Well I guess it’ll be good to see some more of this Superman.

In a recent interview, Spiderman star James Franco shared his thoughts on his character as well as Tobey Maguire’s character ‘Peter Parker, or rather Spiderman.
Here’s what he had to say:
On his character at the start of the film:
“At the end of Spiderman 2, Harry has learnt the awful truth about his friend and his father; although he doesn’t have the full story. In this movie he’s out for revenge.”
On Harry Osborn’s ‘The New Green Goblin’ costume:
“I think the idea behind the suit was to make it very utilitarian. It wasn’t about Harry going back to the lab and creating something that was gonna be flashy, he wants something that is gonna get the job done and just take care of Peter Parker.
On the dilemma’s that his character, Harry, is having:
“The big dilemma Harry has to come down to is does he love his friend; he knows he loves his friend but if he just accepts that and goes with that friendship he has to accept the fact that his life up until now has been a lie and false and a total waste. He’s been living for hate. He’s been loving an evil man and doing this evil man’s bidding. It’s hard to face that you’ve been doing wrong after so long.”
On audiences relating to ‘Peter Parker’:
“Peter Parker is in every man and every young person can relate to Peter Parker or wanna be Peter Parker because he’s really a genuine good guy. It’s an ultimate fantasy to be that guy and all of a sudden be given these amazing powers. But the issues that Peter is dealing with are, for the most part, issues that everyone deals with, so he’s extremely relatable, and Spiderman’s pretty much the coolest comic book character.”
Spiderman hits Australian screens on May 3rd and US screens on May 4th.

ONE of Hollywoods most profound couples Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are set to kick off the Cannes Film Festival in France on May 16 with film ‘A Mighty Heart’, produced by Pitt’s company, Plan B.
Jolie, who plays Mariane Pearl, the widow of slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl in the film says: “The story unfolds like a mystery. You’ve got people collecting clues and trying to solve what happened. But it’s also very real and personal. We didn’t want it to be too melodramatic or too polished. We didn’t want it to be a typical movie.”
Co-star Dan Futterman says, “It would usually take about five minutes before people would figure out that it was Angelina. So we ended up shooting a lot of the exterior stuff in five-minute increments.”
IMDB.com depicts the plot of ‘A Mighty Heart’: ‘Mariane Pearl (Jolie) embarks on a frantic search to locate her journalist husband, Daniel, when he goes missing in Pakistan.’
The film will be released in the US on limited release on June 22 and will be in Australian cinemas on October 18. For further dates and information on the film click here.

It seems actor Matthew McConaughey has been voted ‘Sexiest Male Celebrity’ by the customers of Madame Tussauds Las Vegas.
Yesterday, a full-scale, interactive wax figure of the Hollywood star was uncovered for public viewing during Madame Tussauds “Big Night” attraction.
Adrian Jones, general manager of Madame Tussauds Las Vegas said: “We asked our customers to help select who should be immortalized next in our attraction. We conducted a poll and asked them who they feel is Hollywood’s sexiest male celebrity. Matthew won in a landslide.”
The shiny figure stands in a casual pose with legs crossed and arms folded, bearing a relaxed T-shirt and jeans.
But this figure is more than a good sight. Keeping in line with the interactive spirit of the attraction, guests who get ‘up close and personal’ to the ‘shining’ star can see if they can make his eyes actually twinkle.
As is second nature to all Madame Tussauds attractions around the world, guests can touch and be photographed with him.
McConaughey said, whilst filming on location in Australia: “I am glad to have stayed in the business long enough to make Madame Tussauds list. But, immortalized in wax, don’t light a match.”
So much for wanting to ‘lose him in 10 days’ ay.

‘How I Met You Mother’ actor Neil Patrick Harris has claimed that his decision to come clean about his homosexuality last year was because he feared that he would be ‘outed’, so-to-speak, by a witch-hunt.
The 33-year-old actor says that he “sensed” members of the media were getting ready to out him, and he was determined to let his fans know the truth from him before then.
Harris recounts to talk show host Ellen Degeneres: “There was a little of media scrutiny heading my way. People were starting to ask for stories of other people that may have fooled around with me, and the last thing you want to do is talk about your private life based on scandal.”
“I’m not a very scandalous person and so I didn’t want to have to respond to some story, whether it was lie or truth – so I just made a statement and sort squashed the fires.”
Harris has since been delighted with the warm response that he has received from the public.
He says: “For me that is the greatest ending to the story so far – that nothing really has changed at all. I’m doing nothing different and people aren’t behaving differently towards me. … “
“People heard and they’re like ‘Yeah, and?’ That attitude, I think, was great.”

PETITE princess Rachel Bilson took her pet pooch Thurmen Murmen to meet up with her gal pal and a mystery male for lunch at the Mustard Seed Cafe in Los Angeles on Thursday. The young actress wore a hoodie by H&M, red quilted handbag by Chanel and sunglasses by Chloe.
Since the conclusion of ‘The O.C’, which Bilson starred in for 4 years, she has filmed 2 films – one being ‘The Last Kiss’ opposite comic Zach Braff and Jacinda Barrett and the other alongside ‘Life as a house’ star Hayden Christensen and Samuel L. Jackson, ‘Jumper’.
Hopefully she will pick up some more films soon; I mean come on how can she not.
Though the 26-year-old has previously revealed that it is important to her to wait until the right film for her comes along.
She says: “I’m not just going to work, because there are films that you just could just do such as genre pictures and what not. “
In other news, Rachel’s ex-boyfriend and former O.C co-star Adam Brody was spotted rocking out to his iPod nano and roaming the streets of Nolita, New York City, shortly after taping his segment on ‘Live with Regis & Kelly’ at ABC studios.
The former O.C. star stopped and shopped at the vintage clothing store Eleven, picking up two bags full of vintage gear.

THIS just in Justin Timberlake wants to bring his ‘sexy back’ on a golf course – and I don’t mean performing on a golf course, I mean golfing on a golf course.
Sir Justin Timberlake wants to become a professional golfer.
According to several reports, the singer is becoming so good on the greens that he is hoping to land a place on the Professional Golf Association (PGA) circuit.
“Justin is a very keen golfer and he’s playing to a very high standard now,” states a source.
The 26-year-old golf fanatic is determined to fulfil his ambition during the next 4 years, before he turns is 30 and is currently going strong practicing as much as possible.The source added, “His aim is to make it into a pro event – just for a tournament or two. He practices every day, has a coach and takes his clubs wherever he goes.”
Timberlake plays off a six handicap and is a member of Los Angeles’ exclusive Sherwood Country Club.The ex-N’sync member was mobbed whilst enjoying a quiet 18 holes on a Scottish golf course, earlier this month.
“With it being a public course, there was no way of keeping fans away from him like you could at a private course.” Said a spokesman for Carnoustie Golf Links.
He added: “So as soon as he was spotted, lots of young girls and kids came to see him.” Justin has recently revealed that he’s tour philosophy follows that of rocker Alice Cooper – either drink all day or play golf.
He said: “Golf gives you something to look forward to the next day.”

ADAM Brody went ‘Live with Regis & Kelly’ early Thursday morning.
The former O.C star appeared to promote his upcoming film opposite ‘Sleepless in Seattle’s Meg Ryan, ‘In The Land Of Women’.
Brody also starred in this month’s ‘Instyle’ magazine. Below are a few excerpts from the interview:
You made geeky Seth Cohen cool on The O.C. What were you like in high school?
While I wasn’t a Casanova, I had cute girlfriends. I was all about surfing and pretty much lived at the beach–I was the California Guy. I had poor grades and knew only one other Jewish kid. Then I moved to Hollywood and realized that reading and drinking coffee are where its at and that everyone’s Jewish. So I became more nerdy and embraced my neurotic side.
What will you do with your days now that the show’s over?
Grow the best beard I can. I’ve had to shave every day for four years, and I’ve never been more excited to not shave–I’ve dreamed about this. Granted, it’ll be a pretty pathetic beard, but I’m going to give it my best shot. Also, I’m going to sleep in, read, see more movies, play more music, walk my dog and write.

MARILYN Manson and teen actress Evan Rachel Wood have debuted their official couple-ness.The unlikely pair made their first public appearance out together as an official couple on London on Wednesday.
The 38-year-old rocker spoke to the ‘France’s Le Parisien’ newspaper earlier this week stating, “I’ve found my double, my twin, with my new girlfriend, Evan Rachel Wood.”
“She’s 19 and certainly that’s very young,” he said of their 19-year age difference, “but that’s not a problem for me. She likes the same things as me.”
“She understands I like to get up when night falls and go to sleep at dawn.”
Manson and Wood entered the book of ‘Odd Celebrity Couples’ in January, when the romance rumours really started to strengthen.
Manson, 38, and Wood have been friends for some time now.According to Manson’s official website, he and Wood first met when he asked her to be in his upcoming horror film, ‘Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll’.
