Noel Gallagher has revealed that to ring in the big 4-0 he will throw a “tyrants and despots” themed party. The Oasis architect has also played around with the idea of solo album, saying that he already has four or five tracks ready.
The Oasis singer, who will turn 40 on May 29 (my birthday J ), is said to be planning the bombastic bash and has asked guests dress as historic autocrats in jest.
“Noel has a brilliant but really dark sense of humor, as his plans show. It’s going to be a mad, mad, night.” Reveals a source.
Whilst the British rocker plans his birthday celebration rumours are circling about a possible solo album from the lad. So will he or won’t he?
Gallagher was quoted saying, “I’ve actually got a backlog of songs that are slowly building up. The thing about a solo record is the time to do one is between Oasis world tours because you’d have a good couple of years.”
“I’ve got a backlog now of about four or five songs which are probably too far in the past as far as the band in concerned, but which could work on my record.”
To go solo or not to go solo, that is the question.

I want him to so bad!!! Ever since I saw the ‘96 mtv unplugged gig, I have been waiting and waiting. I mean, I don’t even listen to Oasis albums any more: I just go on youtube and watch Noel singing acoustic versions of the songs. His talent spoiled Liam’s scratchy whine for me, although Liam has his moments.
On the other hand, I’m pessimistic. Noel has hinted at a solo album before, but hasn’t delivered. Perhaps he’s just doing it to piss off Liam haha
