Peace starts with a smile :)

A Smile is more than just a look – it’s a feeling, it’s a trigger for happiness and it’s a piece of the puzzle of peace. Most of us think that when we smile, when we laugh that that is all we’re merely doing, but you see when we smile our body releases endorphins (those pain-killing hormones that make us feel good), which in turn make us happy, or at least happier.

“SMILING IS

CONTAGIOUS”

Not only is smiling good for us but also if you find you’re friend having one of those rainy or down days, by smiling and trying to make her/him smile and laugh is possibly the greatest thing you could do for them. Besides smiling is contagious (unless someone has a basic character flaw that prevents them from enjoying life), because each time a person smiles, the pleasure receptors in the brain release endorphins, which promote a sensation of well-being and contentment. When you’re feeling stressed, whether it’s that big test coming up or just a build-up of the stresses of everyday life the best medicine is a smile. So, If you’ve lost your sense of humor, best thign is to find it immediately. When we laugh, or smile, endorphins are released, triggering stress hormone levels to drop.  A good idea for those rainy days is to create a stress relief kit - stocked with your favorite stress-busting devices from comics to clown noses, whatever tickles your own funny bone. Keep this kit handy at all times because you never know when a good ol’ laugh will save the day.

“with every smile, every laugh we are helping bring sunshine into not only our lives but also into the lives of others.”

So apart from the all mighty endorphins what good is in smiling for us? Well ask yourself this question when you see someone who’s smiling what are your first impressions of that person. No doubt they would be that that person is friendly, happy, and welcoming. Also they’re usually the first ones that a stranger will approach or speak to when seeking directions or assistance.Did you know that babies are actually born with the emotional fabric to smile when feeling pleasurable? Yeah.  So smiling is not a response taught to us from life experiences but rather a natural sign of pleasure or delight. So you see we were born to smile.  And with every smile, every laugh we are helping to bring sunshine into not only our lives but also into the lives of others. Bringing a further sense of peace into this sometimes gloom-filled world. With so much disaster and hate in this world we need to put our best smile forward and do our best to bring as much light and happiness into this world as we can. So next time you’re down or clouded in the negative energy of this world remember ‘Peace starts with a smile’.
